If you have a child in Grade 2 they need a Grade 2 Pass! The Grade 2 Pass gives your child access to skiing/riding ALL SEASON LONG at The Lake Louise Ski Resort for just $20 administration and operational fee!

Required Information

The Grade 2 Pass is available to children in Alberta and Southeastern BC. You will be required to show proof your child qualifies for this pass by presenting one of the following at time of pass pickup:

  • Birth certificate.
  • Alberta Health Care Card or BC Health Care Card.
  • Current Grade 2 Report Card.
  • Last Year's Grade 1 Report Card.

Picking up your pass
You must bring your child with you to the Lake Louise Ski Resort, or our Calgary Sales Office. A Release form is required to be filled out by the Parent or Legal Guardian at time of pass pick up and a photo of the child must be taken.

The following terms and conditions apply:

  • • A $20 administration and operational fee is required to process each Grade 2 pass.
  • • Grade 2 passes are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • • Lost passes can be replaced for a $5 fee.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How does the Grade 2 Pass work? 
A: Grade 2 Passes costs $20 (administration and operational fee) and provides the pass holder FREE skiing at The Lake Louise Ski Resort for the entire winter season.

Q: When can my child use the Pass?  How many times can it be used?
A: The Grade 2 Pass is valid for the entire ski season – usage during the season is unlimited!

Q: Can my child use the Pass on a school ski trip?
A: Unfortunately the Grade 2 Pass cannot be used on organized school ski trips.  The ski area offers significantly discounted group rates and the school group is required to be accompanied by a teacher(s).  For more information contact our Group Sales Coordinators at 403-522-1341 or email groups@skilouise.com.

Q: Does my child have to be accompanied by a paying adult?
A: A parent or legal guardian is required to accompany the Grade 2 to pick up the pass, as a Release form must be signed.  Once done, a paying adult is not required to accompany the Grade 2 daily however it is highly recommended.

Q: What if we don't own equipment?
A: No problem!  The Lake Louise Ski Resort has rental equipment available. Click here for ski rental information or call us at 403-522-3555.

Q: What if my child is a beginner?
A: Take a lesson!  It’s the easiest, quickest and safest way to learn – and it’s fun!  Click here for ski lessons information, call our Ski and Snowboard School at 403-522-1333, or email skischool@skilouise.com.

Q: What if I (parent or guardian) don't ski or snowboard?
A: Now would be a great time to start!  Our ski area offers beginner packages that include a lift ticket, lesson and equipment rental at a highly discounted rate.  Please call us at 403-522-1333 and ask about our Learn to Ski or Snowboard Packages.  All the ski and snowboard instructors are certified by the Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance, the Canadian Ski Coaches’ Federation or the Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors.

Q: What will it cost me to get a Grade 2 Pass?
A: The pass is available for a one-time cost for a $20 (plus GST) administration and operational fee. After that your child can ski and snowboard all winter for FREE!!
